On behalf of the executive and members I would like to welcome you to our Local website. Our Local office is located at the All-Type Office Building, 11420-142 St. As President, I work full-time representing members at Grievance meetings, Duty to Accomodate (DTA)meetings, Return to Work meetings as well as fielding questions and concerns in regards to contract issues and interpretation. I am also a board trustee on the Edmonton Civic Employees Charitable Assistance Fund (ECECAF) that meets monthly. This fund provides bursaries to our members children entering into secondary education as well as Special Assistance to those who have financial needs due to medical issues. When I am away from the office the other executive members provide phone coverage and attend meetings as required. Our 1st VP, Sandi Johnson oversees the OH&S concerns and chairs the Local OH&S Committee. Our 2nd VP, Nicole Bownes is chair of the Professional Responsibility Committe (PRC) and is currently co-chairing the Joint Workforce Regularization committee (JWRP). Treasurer Shelley Nadolski is also the chair of the EI Education Committee that puts on educational dinners 4-6 times a year at Fantasyland Hotel. Secretary Amy Soleski assists with minute taking at all meetings including the PRC meetings and keeps our office reps informed of upcoming meetings and local activities. The majority of our offices currently have office reps who keep members in their area informed of upcoming local meetings, concerns and any urgent union business.
